Obviously we think we make the best coffee you'll ever taste but it's great when an outside professional comes in and tells us the same thing.

Periodically, our suppliers at Matthew Algie carry out anonymous audits of their customers to ensure that standards and being met.

The audit was carried out by a man named Alex and he basically sat in view of the servery taking notes. We didn't realise this until after he'd finished.

He scored us on al areas of our operation including Espresso pour time, coffee appearance, following the Matthew Algie 12-step rule, layout of servery, organisation of workspace, hygiene, attention to customers and the taste of his drink.

He commented that he was impressed with the latte art too and we scored 100%. Not bad when you consider our usual team of four was down to two that day due to a couple of tonsillitis and influenza!!
