We are only as good as the people we employ and at Stray's books, we have a truly fantastic team!!

Liz oversees the bookshop and has 16 years experience in the book trade. She has the ability to do the work of several people at once and so, if ever you think there's a window open and a draft is blowing through, it's probably Liz doing her impression of a whirlwind, getting books onto the shelves at mach 2!!

Liz is one of Stray's Directors and has her finger, quite literally on the pulse of our busy bookshop.

Chris splits his time between both the bookshop and coffee bar and also has over 16 years in the trade. He is jack of all trades and master of at least two that we know of!!

Chris specializes in fine-tuning systems in the shop and is also behind most of the promotional material dotted around the store.

Karen has been working with books for several years and in particular with us for nearly 4 years. Karen has vast knowledge in many literary areas and her ability to offer service, over and above what would be expected by most, is one of the key reasons for Stray's continued success. Karen has a unique ability to offer sound solutions and go out of her way to exceed customers expectation. Karen also offers ad-hoc alternative therapy advice is often sends ailing customers to our friend at Kirkgate Foods, just around the corner!!

Jade works with Karen and Liz on Saturdays and during the holidays.
