Instead, we want this website to act as a simple interface on the web. We offer great service in our shop and extend a welcome to you in our shop when you're next in town.

Liz oversees the bookshop and has 16 years experience in the book trade. She has the ability to do the work of several people at once and so, if ever you think there's a window open and a draft is blowing through, it's probably Liz doing her impression of a whirlwind, getting books onto the shelves at mach 2!!

Karen has been working with books for several years and in particular with us for nearly 6 years. Karen has vast knowledge in many literary areas and her ability to offer service, over and above what would be expected by most, is one of the key reasons for Stray's continued success. Karen has a unique ability to offer sound solutions and go out of her way to exceed customers expectation. Karen also offers ad-hoc alternative therapy advice is often sends ailing customers to our friend at Kirkgate Foods, just around the corner!!

Ian has been with us since mid 2008 and brings a wealth of knowledge to add to that offered by Karen. Previously a head-teacher, Ian brings his years of working with people to our store.

Carole joined us at the end of 2008 and works alongside Ian & Karen & Liz as the fourth member of this great team.
